2 Hour Wheel Throwing Taster Session 2026 [New Studio Location NR6]

Description

This two-hour wheel-throwing lesson is perfect for beginners with no previous experience! It’s a private 1:1 or 1:2 session, so you’ll have my undivided attention (:

You will learn how to center a lump of clay, open it up, pull the walls, and form a cylinder. From there, I’ll show you how it can be shaped – most people end up creating little bowls, bud vases, or cups!

At the end of the lesson, you can choose your two favourite pots each, which I will then trim, glaze, and fire. They will then be posted to you approximately 4 weeks after your lesson (more can be fired at an additional cost of £5 per pot).

Lessons will take place at my new garden studio in Old Catton NR6 – a 2 minute walk from the closest bus stop (First 13), or I have private parking if you drive. Full details will be provided after booking is confirmed.

Aprons will be provided, but please still wear something you don’t mind getting messy. Also, if possible, please have your nails short as it’s much easier to throw pots! 🙂
